Making Mistakes and Learning from Them
Happy Sunday to everyone. hope you all had a wonderful weekend? Its Mother's day and I want to use this opportunity to give a befitting shout out to my Wonderful and Precious Mum who have being more than a Mum to me, I love you Mum. And to all Mothers out there and also to the aspiring Mothers, God bless you all.
Mistake is one of the many inevitable aspect of an individual. It is bound to happen but what matters most is how you react to such mistake(s) and the step you take in making sure that such mistake(s) never repeat itself again. The popular saying that "Experience is the best teacher" is quite true to some extent. Until you experience it, you may not be able to handle it when it eventually happen to you hence the learning from such an experience will be faulty.
We as humans are bound to make mistakes. Everybody make mistakes but the learning comes when you realize your mistake and take the necessary steps to making sure such mistake never occur again. I made a mistake recently, and although it really got me sad and thinking, it has given me a different view about what i did. I have learnt things i didn't know before by just realizing and accepting the mistake and doing what is right so that it doesn't happen again. The fact that i made a mistake doesn't change how i view myself.
You may receive all sort of tongue-lashing from your friends, course mates and family both at home and in school when you make a mistake and you may be tagged as a bad or desperate person and since words are powerful, it may tend to affect the way you will begin to see yourself. Well as my Father will say, "No one have the right to make you feel bad about yourself without your permission". Unless you have accepted those things said against you, you can still hold your head up high and stick to your opinion about yourself. Mistakes are made not to reduce your esteem but to teach you an unforgettable lesson which will eventually serve as a guide or warning when tempted to tread that path again. Learn to always have a personal view about yourself that nothing can change. Always remember that making mistake(s) is not a curse but it is a guide to build us up and will also be a story to tell in future.
