LIFE AFTER CU.

How time flies, very soon it will be another convocation ceremony but before we get too excited, lemme ask you this question...What will your life be after you convocate from Covenant University??? Now you are sober..lol. Have you ever stopped for a minute to think about your life when you are no more in CU? Well, if you haven't, I have and I came to  this conclusion that there are two basic things we will do after we graduate. One is to HUSTLE and the other is to SURVIVE. Some of you will say you can't hustle but lemme tell u, hustling means different things. I'm not talking about the carrying gala from one breadth of lag to another oo, the kind of hustling i am talking about is fending for yourself outside your father's house, jumping buses on your way to work and all that kind of stuff. Lemme share this experience I had when I was going home on exeat during the semester but before I continue, statistics have showed that 99.99999999% of CU girls are "Botti" or what we will call "aje-butter" and I had an encounter with one on my way home. lol.
I happened to enter the same bus with this girl and I sat in front of her before she moved over to sit beside me as soon as she noticed I was a CU student because of my ID card which I was wearing. I didn't have the intention of wearing dat rope for long o, I just needed it to show the doubting Thomas at the gate that I am a student. So when she asked me why I was still wearing my rope even outside the School, I just replied "mistake" and I removed it. We got talking and under 3minutes, I knew that this is a confirmed "aje-butter" pure, untouched and undiluted one. Apparently, this was her first time taking PT home (Public Transport) because her driver had to attend to her father and her father told her "Baby find your way home". It was obvious that her dad is never going to hear the end of the matter when she gets home. When it was almost time for her to leave the bus,she was stuck; unlike some of us like me that can confidently shout "Owa" anywhere, anytime and anyday if we want to come down from the bus but this babe was finding it difficult to tell the driver that she wants the come down. Seeing her plight, I first of all had a good laugh before I shouted Owa for her to get down. As the bus continued the journey, I felt pity for the girl because she still had two more buses to enter before she will get to her bustop..I couldn't stop laughing at how she will handle the remaining part of her journey. I'm quite sure that a good number of CU girls are like this particular girl. My point exactly? Well I will say that CU have helped to cover some people's flaw. If today, the management approves of us cooking, i will have to be carrying my own personal fire extinguisher because I don't know where the next fire outbreak will come from. lol
Anyways, what I am here to tell you is that your flaws cannot be covered once you get out of that gate. I was chatting with my brother's friend who is an Eagle and I couldn't stop pitying him as he is now seeing the real view of Lagos. When I asked him how Life after CU is, he just told me that CU did nothing to show them what the real life is outside school and now he is learning it the hard way. "Eyaaa", "sorry e hear", "u will survive" was what I was just telling him and I really felt pity for him.. For all who think that the life you get in CU is the same as you get outside CU, lemme just drop this advice for you. Go and dip yourself in Atlantic Ocean. Just dip yourself oo and if you are alive to tell the story, please come and tell me if Atlantic Ocean is equal to CU's Swimming pool.
